Qualified candidates will possess a minimum two years\' experience transcribing hospital dictation and two years editing other transcriptionist\'s reports before submission to an account. Excellent experience with ESL required. Experience with Radiation Oncology a plus. In upcoming months, we will also have a need for acute-care MTs with Radiation Oncology experience. Available shifts are:
2 Tu-Sat 1st shift positions are open on BeyondTXT, Transcend's proprietary platform
Tu-Sat 1st or split shift position open on Dictaphone ExText
Tu-Sat or Sun-Th 1st shift position open on CPSI and BeyondTXT
We are looking for experienced transcriptionists that have managed others (preferably at another large MTSO but still enjoy transcribing because our Team Leaders also work in a production capacity. TL candidates transcribe 75-80% of their time and are responsible for keeping their account(s) in TAT by managing the schedules of their assigned MLS and mentoring their MLS. TL candidates will be paid for their production (9cpl for transcription and 5cpl for voice recognition editing) and will receive a monthly stipend of $700 for performing the administrative duties.
Requirements:
7+ years of current medical transcription experience, preferably working in a remote capacity as a manager, mentor, or QA Specialist.
Former management experience is required for external candidates.
Strong desire to teach and mentor other MTs. This is a management position but we look for managers that want to help others become stronger MTs or grow their careers!
Cable or DSL Internet access. Satellite does not work with some of our management software unfortunately.
Must have strong op notes experience.
Must have good ESL experience.
This is a great opportunity to move up at Transcend and show us your leadership and mentoring skills. Former TLs have been promoted into Assistant Manager, Trainer and QA roles!
Other information and job functions:
* As this is a production-based position, our expectation is that you will transcribe no less than 8,250 transcription-equivalent lines each pay period. Unique customer situations may require a different work mix, but these will be determined by the Regional Operations Manager (ROM) and must be approved by the Regional Director of Transcription Operations. |

Seeking experienced transcriptionists to handle occasional overflow transcription work with the strong possibility of more steady work in the future. This is not medical transcription, but rather academic and general transcription. A high-speed Internet connection, Microsoft Word, and foot pedals are musts. Applicants will be required to pass a test of skills -- six minutes. Guidelines to help ensure success will be provided. The pay rate for work completed will depend on the difficulty of the audio.
Please quote your per minute rate as a range, i.e., lowest to highest rate depending on difficulty of the audio provided. I would expect rates to be under $0.40 per audio minute to start. I will decide not just on pay rate, but on ability to hear, understand, and transcribe the English language as well as the ability to use punctuation correctly.
